Random things you'll find at the Melbourne Show

Pygmy goats.

Pygmy goats are gentle, friendly and funny animals and they’ll be at the Show for one day only in the Livestock Pavilion. They are at the show for ONE DAY ONLY.

26th September 9.30am – 4pm.


Pat a pig.

Get up close to farm favourites in the pat-a-pig area of The First National Real Estate Farmyard. Find out about these friendly animals and how important they are to farming life.

9.30am – 6pm daily


The K9 Ninja Challenge

You know you want to see doggies compete in the ultimate dog obstacle course. Pitting canine competitors (and their handlers) against each other, the K9 Ninja Challenge will sort the puppies from pawthletes.

12pm daily


Elton John Experience

A not-to-miss show, the Elton John Experience has three performances a day on the Channel 7 Entertainment Precinct. His virtuosic piano playing and vocal timbre will have you believing it could really be the Rocket Man himself.

Daily at 12.30pm, 4pm, 6.30pm


Cosentino the Grand Illusionist

Twice a day you can watch magician and escapologist Cosentino, the Grand Illusionist, who will push the boundaries of what's possible with death-defying stunts from his all new stage show, Anything is Possible

3pm and 5pm daily at the Ch7 Entertainment Precinct Main Stage


Angus Steakhouse

To celebrate the Angus as the 2019 Royal Melbourne Show beef cattle feature breed, there’s a new spot for a restaurant-quality sit-down meal. The Angus Steakhouse will be serving up hearty steakhouse fare, including specialty steaks, golden fries and wine in a relaxed, cosy setting.

Pat a pup

See some of the most adorable puppies and pat them until your heart is content at the Black Hawk Pat A Pup! With puppies from a huge range of breeds, you'll see some of the most adorable four-legged friends you'd could ever imagine.

10am – 4pm daily


Axe Throwing

Thrilling to watch, this event sees competitors stand six metres from a target, aim and throw! If the axe remains in the target and cuts into a scoring area, points are won. A test of skill, strength and perhaps a little luck too.
